Recovery Time from Teeth in a Day

Woman smiling after recovering from Teeth in a DayAt Palani Center for Dental Implants, we practice cutting-edge procedures using state-of-the-art technology to provide the best possible service! For those who have lost all of their teeth, or already use dentures, we offer a service that can give you a brand-new set of permanent teeth, in just one day!

“Teeth in a Day” is a restoration concept involving an implant-supported fixed bridge that will look and function just like real teeth. In fact, you will be able to use regular oral hygiene practices, eat your favorite foods, and smile with confidence. More often than not, this involves the patented All-on-4 implant system.

Teeth in a Day Procedure

First, you will come to our office for a consultation with Giri Palani, DDS, FICOI. We will use cone-beam technology to create a three-dimensional image of your face, mouth, and sinuses. This information will help us determine if you are a suitable candidate for implant placement. The scan will also be sent to our custom laboratory, where our technicians will fabricate a temporary prosthesis.

Once we have determined you be a suitable candidate, we can schedule the surgery. During surgery, Giri Palani, DDS, FICOI will make a small incision for each implant and expose the underlying bone. For patients who choose All-on-4, this means four implants per bridge. Next, we will drill several tiny holes into the jawbone so we can deeply embed each implant. Once the implant is in place, Giri Palani, DDS, FICOI will suture the incisions and immediately load your temporary set of teeth. We always try to provide a fixed temporary when requested; however, certain situations may make this impossible.

For the next few months, the implants and your bone will fuse together through a process known as osseointegration. This is a crucial step to ensuring your implants are successful, and also the reason why we cannot load your final restoration right away. Once osseointegration is complete, we will attach abutments or support structures to your implants. Giri Palani, DDS, FICOI will then attach your final restoration to the abutments.

Less Downtime for Teeth in a Day

Palani Center for Dental Implants performs “Teeth in a Day” with advanced technology and computerized guide protocol to deliver high precision and reduce recovery time. “Teeth in a Day” is not only the most efficient way to replace all your teeth, but it is also the most cost-effective strategy for implant-supported tooth replacement. This procedure is designed to be minimally invasive and deliver the maximum results in the shortest amount of time. Also, most patients experience only minor soreness.

After you receive your temporary fixed bridge, Giri Palani, DDS, FICOI will give you a detailed set of instructions. While discomfort may be minimal, you will be required to adhere to a soft food diet. This will help protect the implants while they heal, and prevent further discomfort.
